Talk about a tough animal. These wild animals got it rough, they fight for every inch they take, and every meal they get. Elk are some of the coolest creatures out there with their unique antlers that can grow up to 6 feet long with multiple points coming off of each antler. These beast can grow over 1,000 pounds making them the second largest member of the deer family in North America. Beyond their cools looks, these elk are known for their great tasting meat, a favorite among hunters, and the intense bugle noise they make during breeding season. Elk use their antlers to establish dominance during breeding season. Usually the largest, healthiest elk have the largest antlers. Beyond being a display of dominance, they will also have wild fight with other bulls to see who the boss really is. Sometimes with that comes injuries. This elk clearly either had a wild battle with an elk or... maybe with a tree? It is seen feeding on some bushes when you notice something weird about its eye. It is completely out of socket on its cheek. And perhaps the craziest part? It looks like it isn't affecting him much at all. The guy who spotted summed it all up best.
“Check out this bulls eye, it looks like it tracks normal and it's not shadowy or anything so I think he can still see out of it but either a stick or a tine has popped it out of the socket.” The things these animals go through. https://www.instagram.com/p/BQWmgrHhuvZ/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
