Steph Curry and LeBron James may be on the same team for the first time in a competitive capacity, but they’re not on the same page with “Not Like Us.” During warmups ahead of Team USA’s exhibition with Serbia, the NBA All-Stars hit the floor to shoot around.

Kendrick Lamar’s hit single, and Drake diss, could be heard blaring in the background as the men loosened up. Upon hearing the track, Curry shot out, “Damn with this song. It’s not the only song in America!” LeBron then took a moment to throw in his opinion, stating, “I love it! But we got to get something else.” Hate or love it, “Not Like Us” is here to stay. And the track returning to No. 1 atop the Billboard Hot 100 is evidence of that.

    K. Dot’s hit single jolted back atop the coveted chart, rebounding from No. 3 with a little help from the viral music video . The new accomplishment marks the second week that the song of the summer has found its way to No. 1 atop the Billboard chart.

The record also helped catapult K. Dot past Drizzy in Spotify monthly listeners . On Wednesday (July 17), Kendrick’s total monthly listeners had risen to 74,339,787, while Drake’s listeners had fallen to 74,062,374.

Additionally, Variety and Luminate reported that Metro Boomin and Future’s release of “Like That,” which features K. Dot, contributed to the West Coast rapper’s total listeners. In fact, Lamar’s Spotify listens increased by 19 percent four weeks after “Like That.” On the other hand, Drizzy suffered a 4 percent decline over the same period.

Based on these findings and developments, it appears “Not Like Us” is only getting started. Football season is on the way, and the HBCU marching bands surely have something in store for the soon-to-be Grammy-nominated track . Someone tell Steph Curry to cover his ears—it’s going to be a very anti-Drake, pro-West Coast rest of 2024.
