Heat wave breaks. Here's the Delaware weekend forecast

It's finally breaking!

The heat wave that has seemingly gripped Delaware since the Fourth of July weekend is dissipating just in time for the weekend.

While humid weather will still be around, Delaware will feel temperatures ranging from the low 80s in Rehoboth Beach to the upper 80s in Wilmington. There is a chance for scattered storms throughout the state, but otherwise, it will be partly sunny and not as hot.

Delaware weekend forecast

According to Accuweather.com, here's the weekend forecast:

New Castle County

• Friday: Less humid with highs around 87 with winds out of the north-northwest at 7 mph. There is a 1% chance of participation.
• Saturday: Sunny with highs around 86 degrees. There is a 25% chance of rain.
• Sunday: Sunny with highs around 87 degrees. There is an 11% chance of precipitation.

Kent County

• Friday: Less humid with highs in the mid-80s with winds out of the east at 8 mph.
• Saturday: Cloudy and humid with highs in the low 80s. There is a 25% chance of rain.
• Sunday: Clouds with breaks of sun and a chance for storms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-80s. There is a 40% chance of precipitation.

Sussex County

• Friday: Less humid with highs in the mid-80s with winds out of the east-northeast at 8 mph.
• Saturday: Partly sunny with highs in the low 80s. There is a 25% chance of rain.
• Sunday: Clouds with breaks of sun and a chance for storms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-80s. There is a 41% chance of precipitation.
