Charlamagne Suggests SCOTUS Will Flat-Out Hand Trump the Election Even If He Loses: ‘Who Do You Think They’re Gonna Side With?’

Charlamagne Tha God is no stranger to making waves with his political commentary , and his conversation with Stephen Colbert was unfiltered as usual.

While promoting his new book on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday, the host asked Charlamagne about current events and he immediately launched into an attack on the legitimacy of the Supreme Court:

[O]ne thing that I’ve been talking about a lot with my listeners, man, is that I feel, you know, right now, the Supreme Court as we know it is no longer a legitimate institution. I think the Supreme Court is a completely — I think the Supreme Court is completely corrupt.

He added that based on recent rulings that have been seen as huge victories for former President Donald Trump , he has doubts that the next election will be fair:

Charlamagne: My fear is that we have to really ask ourselves the question: Do we think that our democracy is healthy enough to have a free and fair election come November? And the reason I asked that question is because I don’t know who’s going to be at the top of the Democratic ticket, but we know that these elections are usually close. So let’s just say, you know, the Democratic candidate does win come November. What happens when Donald Trump challenges that ruling? What happens when that ruling gets to the Supreme Court? In light of all of the recent rulings that the Supreme Court has done? Who do you think they’re going to side with?

Colbert: Well —

Charlamagne: Don’t start! Don’t start “Hmmmm’ing” about it now! Y’all should have been thinking about this.

Colbert: I think about little else, man. Have you watched my show?

Charlamagne: You don’t wait ’til Thanos gets five Infinity Stones to be like, “Ohhhhh.”
