WNBA Legend Rebecca Lobo Takes Firm Stance on Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese Rookie of the Year Debate

Rebecca Lobo is among the most respected sports personalities covering women's basketball right now.

And given her impressive pedigree (which includes a 1996 Olympic gold medal with Team USA, a 1999 WNBA All-Star appearance, and induction into both the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame), it makes sense why her opinion should hold serious sway.

On Thursday morning, Lobo made an appearance on ESPN's "Get Up" show , and delivered her stance on whether Caitlin Clark or Angel Reese should be the frontrunner for the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year Award.

"Going into the All-Star break, I certainly see Caitlin Clark as the [ROTY] favorite," Lobo said.

"You talk about her accounting for more than 60 of her team's points last night. She has scored or assisted on more points than any other player this season... and she's doing this while getting more defensive attention than any other player in the league.

"So right now because of what she's doing on the offensive end of the floor, certainly my vote would go to Caitlin Clark," Lobo added.

Lobo knows ball — and she has her mind set on the Rookie of the Year frontrunner.
