The New York Giants offense is going to look vastly different in 2024 than it has in recent seasons. During the offseason, some major changes were made to the personnel on the unit.

The biggest change was losing running back Saquon Barkley. He departed in free agency, signing with the rival Philadelphia Eagles.

To help replace his production in the backfield, the Giants signed veteran Devin Singletary in free agency. It will take a team effort to replace Barkley, who was the heart and soul of this unit for six seasons.

Improvements to the offensive line were made that will certainly help. But, if the Giants want to find any success offensively, they need the passing game to get on track.

The No. 6 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft was used on LSU star wide receiver Malik Nabers. His presence will help everyone on the field, but he isn’t the only weapon that people are excited about for Big Blue.

Another wide receiver to keep an eye on is Wan’Dale Robinson. A second-round pick out of Kentucky in the 2022 NFL Draft, his rookie campaign was cut short because of season-ending knee injury.

He was able to rehab and get back on the field in Year 2 for 15 games. He quickly cemented himself near the top of the pecking order in the Giants anemic passing game, making the most of his chances.

Robinson caught 60 passes for 525 yards and one touchdown as New York was unable to push the ball downfield given their other shortcomings. Heading into 2024, Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report believes big things are on the horizon for the former Wildcat.

“Brian Daboll is going to have to get creative to make up for the loss of Saquon Barkley in the passing game. Losing Darren Waller to retirement should open up some targets over the middle as well.

Robinson, a quick 5’8″, 185-pound playmaker, is the kind of chess piece that could help provide cover for both roles. If so, he might break out as the kind of playmaker who can be a high-end No. 2 to Nabers for years to come,” Ballentine wrote.

Nabers has all of the things you want in a No. 1 receiver. If he can hit the ground running, things will open up for the other receivers, such as Robinson, to operate.

Alas, all of Robinson’s breakout potential is tied to Daniel Jones. If Daboll can coax the 2019 and 2022 versions out of his quarterback, this entire offense can break out in 2024.
