Cam’ron is clinging to the antiquated view of masculinity for dear life. The 48-year-old rapper walked off of the It Is What It Is set after when the forthcoming nail polish line by Dwyane Wade came up in conversation.

His co-host Treasure “Stat Baby” Wilson brought up the topic and the conversation did not get far at all before Cam and Ma$e reacted. “Oh my goodness,” the “Welcome Back” rapper said with a sigh. Killa Cam, on the other hand, immediately removed his headphones, slammed them on the desk, and got out of his seat.

“You do this every [show],” Cam said before complaining that she ends every episode with “some wild sh*t.” Ma$e could only watch his co-host’s reaction with amusement and laughter. Wilson tried to reason with Cam by asking, “What happened to ‘Get paid young ni**a, get paid’?” but by that time he was already almost out the door, per a second camera angle from the show.

Earlier this month, Dwyane Wade teased potentially starting his own nail polish line. “I’m creative, I’m expressive, and there’s so many ways to do that,” he told CBS Mornings . “I actually thinking about jumping into the nail line… Yeah, I’ve been thinking about it. Like I’ve been in it so long. And I’m like, ‘You know what, it could be a good time,’ but I got some cool ideas and I’m exploring. I’ve been having some conversations on my own about exploring.”

He revealed that his six-year-old daughter Kaavia plays a part in that expression as well. “One of my favorite things to do when it comes to this is actually sitting down with my daughter and getting my nails painted and painting hers,” he said. “That’s the time that we get to connect. Me doing something that she loves and also that I love.”

While the world has somewhat progressed in accepting men painting their nails without being labeled homosexual, the reactions to Wade’s comments show that there are still some ways to go. “Come on out the closet baby, it’s 2024 and it’s ok to be gay,” a fan wrote on TikTok. “I caught a lil eye contact after she said ‘so when are we getting the new manicure.’ His eyes sparkled a lil,” another fan wrote.
