Costco has a major goal when it comes to stocking its shelves: offer prices that are lower than its competitors. To that end, Costco makes a point to always offer low prices on its wide range of inventory.

But every month, Costco offers up specific discounts on select items that could result in even more savings than you're used to. Here are a few such items that may be worth adding to your cart this July.

    1. $5.50 off Bounty Advanced Paper Towels

Whether you live alone, have a gaggle of kids, or have sneaky pets who enjoy knocking things over for sport, paper towels are probably on your list of basic needs. And Bounty is a well-known name in the paper towel absorbency game, making it a good pick for your household needs.

Right now, Costco has a 12-count of Bounty paper towel rolls on sale for $5.50 off the regular price. With 101 sheets per roll, that's a lot of cleaning up you'll be able to do.

    2. $120 off the iRobot Roomba j8+ (8550) Wi-Fi Connected Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum

Speaking of cleaning up, if you're tired of spending your mornings and evenings vacuuming your floors, why not outsource that task to a machine that can get the job done automatically? A robot vacuum can save you time during the week. And, it may do a more thorough job because it's not vacuuming in between meetings or after-school activities like you might be.

Right now, Costco is offering $120 off of the iRobot Roomba j8+ model. With two hours of runtime, it has the capacity to cover every nook and cranny in your house without needing to be charged in between (assuming, of course, that you live in a normal-sized house, not a palace).

It also allows you to schedule cleanings to when you might need them the most -- such as after your kids get back from softball practice and drag part of the field home with them.

    3. $80 off the Windmill 8,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner

In case you hadn't noticed, the U.S. is in the middle of a heat wave this summer. If your home lacks central air, then it may be time to invest in a window unit so you're able to cool off at night and avoid waking up in a pool of your own sweat.

Costco is offering an $80 discount on the Windmill 8,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner. Not only is this unit Energy Star certified, but it's designed to run quietly so that the rattle of an air conditioner doesn't keep you up at night. It also comes with four carbon filters, which should get you through a year of usage before having to replenish.

    4. $100 off Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 Noise Canceling Headphones

Wasn't remote work such a lovely thing? You could avoid commuting and actually get to focus on your job without the distractions of a workplace environment.

But for better or worse, many companies have reopened to in-person work, and you may no longer have the option to do your job from home.

If you're struggling in a loud workplace environment, you may want to invest in these noise-canceling headphones, which you can now snag for $100 off the usual price. They feature up to 30 hours of battery life and six microphone settings to improve call quality when you're using them for online meetings.

    5. $3 off Lysol Disinfecting Wipes

The annoying thing about germs is that they're everywhere. And if you don't have the time to get sick, then it pays to be vigilant about cleaning surfaces at home and at the office to keep yourself healthy.

Lysol wipes tend to do the trick, and they're also great for cleaning up those sticky messes at home that a plain power towel can't tackle. Right now, Costco is offering a $3 discount on a four-pack of Lysol wipes, so you get 380 wipes in total. That may be enough to carry you into the late fall, when the cold and flu season really starts to kick in.

These are just some of the many deals Costco has going this July. It pays to browse online or visit your local warehouse club store to see what other offers are available this month. If there are items you need, whether it's cleaning products or tech products, you might as well save money in the course of buying them.
