Brian Kelley looking to tap into his Republican roots with this new one. The former Florida Georgia Line member is set to release a brand new track next Friday titled "Make America Great Again." There's no telling where he came up with the name for that one, or what the song might be about... but I bet Tyler Hubbard is gonna love it. Kelley has been present at the 2024 Republic National Convention, which is currently taking place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He performed his solo hit "American Spirit" during last night's proceedings while the
UNC frat members that went viral for protecting the American flag on their campus walked into the event hoisting the stars and stripes. The 38-year-old country singer shared a photo this morning from his performance, and also teased that he'd be releasing a new song next week titled "Make America Great Again." I'm no expert in the music industry, but it feels like this week would have been a great time to debut it instead of next week... Kelley is apparently holding off until next week, as you can see if you swipe to the right on the post below: https://www.instagram.com/p/C9kNkYagtea/?hl=en&img_index=2 Just in case you need a reminder, a big reason why Florida Georgia Line broke up was because Kelley and his bandmate Tyler Hubbard didn't exactly see eye-to-eye politically. Both artists gave their sides of the story, and when Kelley spoke about the situation on the
Bussin' with the Boys podcast, he said that Hubbard going behind his back and doing a song with Tim McGraw at Biden's inauguration during the social unrest of 2020 was a breaking point: " Tyler had solo music out before I even did. Before we even got our fifth album out, he had released a couple songs, he had played Biden’s inauguration which was a huge look to be a solo act with Tim McGraw. He released another song. I didn’t start releasing music ’til April… He was rockin’ at radio immediately, top of January of 2021 and I didn’t get music out ’til April and then the album in June... Surprised. Shocked for sure. I thought we had a deal about what the plan was." Brian later described how Tyler told him that he liked "better in person and not online" and then unfollowed him on social media after he publicly questioned why they can't have concerts, meanwhile others were holding Democratic protests and Biden victory celebrations following the 2020 election season. He also implied that he was flying a Trump flag at his house which was the triggering moment for Hubbard:
"One of the things that triggered him was I had an American flag and another flag flying on a close friends to a post to about 12 people in my driveway, gated, nobody could see it. And I think that was the one... to my close friends, he was on that list." Like I said, he's gonna LOVE this song... https://www.instagram.com/reel/C6wOJbCO9LG/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=0abdd627-27d6-4040-87e2-c1b954e8302a   But anyways, if you were interested in seeing Kelley's "American Spirit" performance at the Republic National Convention, you can press play on the post below: https://twitter.com/realDailyWire/status/1813754325719532004
