The New York Jets are hoping that the 2024 season will be more productive than the 2023 campaign. They have once again put all of their eggs into the Aaron Rodgers basket, as his health will determine how successful the team and Fantasy Football owners are.

Even with an upgrade on the quarterback depth chart behind him with Tyrod Taylor, this team will only go as far as Rodgers can carry it. Luckily for him, he has some excellent weapons to work with at the skill positions.

One of those weapons is running back Breece Hall. A second-round pick out of Iowa State in the 2022 NFL Draft, Hall has already cemented his standing as one of the most productive backs in the NFL.

In seven games as a rookie before tearing his ACL, Hall carried the ball 80 times for 463 yards and four touchdowns. He was productive as a receiver as well, catching 19 passes for 218 yards and one more score.

The knee injury didn’t cost him any of the 2023 season. He was in the lineup Week 1, but was splitting touches with Dalvin Cook earlier in the season as the Jets worked him back.

That split lasted about a month before Hall took over as the leadback. He was excellent in 2023, gaining 994 yards on the ground with five touchdowns and adding 591 receiving yards with another four scores.

Heading into the 2024 season, there are a lot of Fantasy Football owners who will have him on their radar. A dual-threat out of the backfield, he is the exact kind of player that managers will want anchoring their running back spot.

Alas, if you want Hall on your Fantasy Football team, you will need a top pick in the draft, especially if you are playing in a non-PPR league. Over at PFF , they recently shared their top 400 player rankings for that style of scoring.

Coming in at No. 6 on the overall list was Hall, who is the No. 3 running back. The only players ahead of him are Christian McCaffrey, CeeDee Lamb, Bijan Robinson, Tyreek Hill and Ja’Marr Chase.

That is a lofty Fantasy Football ranking Hall has received, but one that he has certainly earned. Not only is he talented, he will handle as much work as he can.

There isn’t a threat on the Jets roster to his playing time. Veteran Tarik Cohen was signed in free agency, but mostly for his special teams prowess given the new rules the NFL is implementing.

2023 fifth-round pick Israel Abanikanda, 2024 fourth-round pick Braelon Allen and fifth-round rookie Isaiah Davis will likely make up the rest of the depth chart. Someone will handle the Jets’ change of pace work behind Hall, but a 300+ touch season is virtually guaranteed.
