    Three West Virginia men facing drug-related charges

    ALLEGHANY COUNTY, Va. ( WFXR ) — The Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office of Virginia reports three men from West Virginia were arrested as a part of a drug bust on Saturday, July 13.

    According to the sheriff, during an investigation, the Alleghany Highlands Drug Task Force allegedly witnessed a hand-to-hand drug purchase. Members of the task force alerted patrol deputies who then pulled over the suspected vehicle for a search.

    During the search, deputies allegedly seized the following:

    • One ounce of suspected fentanyl, valued at around $3,000
    • One gram of Xanax
    • One handgun
    • $4,804 in U.S. currency
    • 2008 Dodge pickup

    Following the traffic stop, the following individuals were arrested: 27-year-old Triston Daniel Crookshanks, 28-year-old Ragan Matthew Bostic, and 21-year-old Richard Andrew Harris.

    They were charged with the following:

    Crookshanks:

    • Distribution Schedule I or II Drug
    • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
    • Possession of a Firearm while possessing a Schedule I or II drug

    Bostic:

    • Distribution of a Schedule I or II drug
    • Possession of a Firearm while Possessing a Schedule I or II

    Harris:

    • Distribution of a Schedule I or II Drug
    • Possession of a Schedule IV without a prescription
