Paul Wight has only wrestled three matches over the past two years, with one of those being on Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager At Sea cruise. Therefore, with it known that he has been dealing with multiple injuries, having wrestled for almost 30 years, many fans began to accept that his time in the ring might be over. However, the AEW star has given his fans hope, having revealed on Instagram that he is back in the gym after replacing his knees and hips. Whether this will see him wrestle again is unclear, but given his legendary status, he certainly deserves a proper sendoff.

52-year-old Wight began his wrestling career in 1995 for WCW as The Giant and would win their world championship in his debut match against Hulk Hogan. Yet, despite being one of the few younger talents pushed into the main event scene, he still opted to leave the company and signed with WWE in 1999, where he found fame as The Big Show. And while it was thought that he was a WWW lifer, having worked for Vince McMahon’s company for so long, he would stun the wrestling world in 2021 when he decided to become All Elite.
