Backstage News On Darby Allin’s Entrance From The Rafters During Dynamite

During this past week’s historic 250th episode of Dynamite, Darby Allin was lowered from the rafters, which for some long-term fans brought back memories of Owen Hart, who tragically died when WWE attempted to parody this entrance and a quick-release mechanism accidentally triggered. Yet for anyone fearing this stunt was done in poor taste, it has now been confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select on X that, like when Sting did this entrance earlier this year, Tony Khan made sure to reach out to Hart’s widow, Martha, for her consent.

Following Hart’s death at the age of just 34, Sting limited the use of his iconic entrance, with the last time he did this prior to AEW being during his time with TNA at Slammiversary in 2007. And while it was thought the entrance was retired at the same time as Sting, it now appears that Allin has adopted this to pay homage to his mentor and former tag partner.
