Former President Donald Trump is already eyeing the release of several executive orders and a MAGA “Iron Triangle” focused on trade, finishing the border wall, and ending U.S. involvement in foreign wars beginning on Inauguration Day if he’s elected, according to a former top aide.
“The way this works is between the day after the election and Inauguration Day, you have a very big team writing executive orders and getting them vetted,” Peter Navarro, Trump’s former trade chief, said.
“We will be able,” Navarro said, “to hit the ground running.”
He said many of the orders were ready to go in 2021 but died when Trump lost to President Joe Biden. “There were things that we left on the table,” he said in an interview a day after speaking to the Republican National Convention after serving four months in a Miami prison for a conviction on contempt of Congress charge related to the investigation of the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.
Navarro, who hasn’t lost a step in his punchy style, presented many of his Trump second administration plans in his just-released book, The New MAGA Deal.
In the book from Winning Team Publishing, founded by Donald Trump Jr. and Trump adviser Sergio Gor, Navarro said the new administration will look at an “Iron Triangle” to push free trade based on buy America and hire America, a return to tough anti-illegal immigration policies, and curbing “endless wars.”
The book also parries attacks on MAGA by “the Bidenites” and explains what the “Make America Great Again” agenda is.
Following the 2022 elections, he began working on his project first to define MAGA.
“The issue of what ‘MAGA’ is became a talking point with the Democrats grotesquely turning MAGA into a four letter word with a mischaracterization, which was really character assassination, of what we stand for,” Navarro told Secrets.
“And so I think in the hands of people reading the book, it'll help them be able to explain in both conceptual terms and policy terms why MAGA really is the most centrist of policies, consistent with the tradition, economic, cultural, and everything in between, of the American nation,” the Trump ally said.
“I'm hopeful that it will be very much a campaign tool and weapon to defend ourselves against what we're anticipating will be the usual propaganda from the Bidenites and the left-wing media,” he added.

Unlike the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, which the Biden campaign has falsely claimed is Trump’s 100-day guidebook, Navarro’s is much closer to what Trump envisioned before leaving office.
“I call it the ‘Deplorables Guide,’” Navarro said. “You want to know what he’s going to do. I think it’s pretty accurate on what’s going to happen, and it's very different from the other stuff that's purporting to be 'America First' policy,” he said.
