A Dubai princess seemingly ended her marriage in a harsh Instagram post.
Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the 30-year-old daughter of Dubai's ruler His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, reportedly used her official Instagram account to let her husband, Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, know she wanted a divorce .
Her post revealed that she wanted a divorce from him after he "preoccupied others." She wrote: "Dear Husband, As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife."

According to the BBC , adding the "I divorce you" three times is in reference to the Islamic practice known as triple talaq. It allows husbands to divorce their wives by saying "I divorce you" three times.
The post comes just over a year after the the two tied the knot and just two months after Sheikha Mahra gave birth to her and Sheikh Mana's daughter. They also unfollowed each other on social media. Any previous post of the couple were removed from their accounts.
Mohammed has not publicly responded to Sheikha Mahra's Instagram, neither in the comment section or on his own account. His last post was from April 10 of him shaking hands with his father-in-law, Prime Minister as well as Dubai's Vice President, as they celebrated Eid.
The princess received a lot of support from her followers, some even think her supposed soon-to-be ex husband cheated. One person wrote: "When a strong woman knows her worth. mashallah." A second user said: "I find it empowering when a woman recognizes her worth and confidently stands her ground." Another said: "This is not the beginning of a new chapter in your life. This is the beginning of a new book. Congratulations." A fourth user said: "Wishing you peace, strength and happiness ahead!!"
Sheikha Mahra is of one of 26 children of the Dubai ruler. She is half Greek from her mother's, Zoe Grigorakos, side. She also has degrees in International Relations from an undisclosed United Kingdom's University and from the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Administration.
