When Will ‘The Boys’ Season 5 Premiere on Amazon?

It’s the beginning of the end for our favorite band of degenerate Supe hunters.

In June 2024, The Boys creator Eric Kripke announced that the fifth season of Prime Video’s beloved superhero series would be the show’s final installment. During an interview with Variety , Kripke revealed that approval from Amazon to end the series came “about a year ago.”

“I give them all the credit in the world and I’m so grateful for them to let me end this story on my terms,” he said. “That’s obviously really rare. I think for about a year, they were sort of very, very lovingly saying, ‘Well, maybe you’ll want to do more? Are you sure?’ But when they saw that I was pretty dead set on Season 5, they went along with it. And I really am grateful.”

Eric also mentioned that he thinks Gen V and an upcoming Mexico spinoff of The Boys “can and should continue” while teasing “a couple other things” he has in development. But when exactly can we expect to see The Boys Season 5 on Prime Video? Here’s everything we know.

“Season 5 will be the Final Season,” Kripke tweeted . “Always my plan, I just had to be cagey till I got the final OK from Vought. Thrilled to bring the story to a gory, epic, moist climax.”

Just like the previous four seasons, The Boys Season 5 will consist of eight episodes.

No official release date has been announced, but in June 2024, Kripke said that the fifth season was “currently being written” and that the plan is to shoot the final installment from November 2024 through mid-2025.

The third season of The Boys concluded on July 8, 2022, with Season 4 debuting almost two years later (June 13, 2024). If the show follows a similar timetable, the fifth and final season would debut in mid-2026 on Prime Video.
