🐦Great news: Florida’s grasshopper sparrow is no longer on the brink of extinction since the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission , the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service , the White Oak Conservation , the Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida , the U.S. Air Force and other partners launched a comprehensive conservation and recovery program which doubled the population.
🏗 More storage units: The St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved rezoning 5.9 acres for Rivers Self Storage on SR 16 west of St. Johns River State College .
⛪We're getting a bigger church: The St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved rezoning three Village Commons parcels for commercial/retail and to expand an existing church.

St. Augustine’s Community Hospice & Palliative Care was awarded the 2024 Hospice CAHPS Honors Award by HEALTHCAREfirst in recognition of its outstanding care to patients and their families.
To earn this accolade, Community Hospice & Palliative Care surpassed the national average score in the Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey, particularly in the "Willingness to Recommend" category. The evaluation process, described as rigorous, included 23 quality measures compared to national benchmarks.
Established in 1979, Community Hospice & Palliative Care provides palliative and hospice care; grief and bereavement support counseling; pediatric hospice and palliative care; veteran care; advanced care planning; pet therapy; art and music therapy; and spiritual care.
