General Hospital fans were left heartbroken as Valentin fled Port Charles with his daughter Charlotte in order to escape his arrest.
During the latest episode of GH, fans were devastated as Valentin was forced to part ways with Anna in order to avoid time behind bars. Valentin was put in the difficult position after the head of Pikeman was exposed following his involvement with the scheme to assassinate Sonny Corinthos .
After the Pikeman operation was uncovered, Valentin decided that the only way to escape prison time was to live life on the run and get out of Port Charles immediately. Before he packed his bags to leave, Valentin paid Anna a visit and begged her to run away with him and start a new life together on the road.

During the emotional conversation. Valentin said to Anna: "Don’t throw your life away, come with me," and Anna through tear-filled eyes kisses him and replies: "I’m sorry. I love you, but I can’t go with you." She went on to explain that she has already laid her life on the line for him before and she's not willing to do it again. She said that although she loves him, she doesn't want to live a life always hiding from police and will not give up her time with her children Noah and Emma again.
Valentin goes on to warn Anna that the FBI will be paying her a visit because she has a connection to him and by the time that they do, he will already be gone. Anna assured him that she was not fearful of the confrontation and said although the FBI could have been suspicious about her involvement in his escape, she insisted that "dots don't make a case."
After their tragic goodbye, General Hospital fans took to X, formerly Twitter, sharing their reactions to Valentin's exit and hopes that he will return to the soap in the future. One fan wrote: "Soooo sad!!" And another asked: "For how long?" And another fan replied: "I'm not sure but hopefully, not long." Others understood Anna's reasoning for staying behind, as one fan wrote: "OK, I get why Anna won't go with Valentin now. She does have a reason to stay and it's Robin, Emma and Noah!" And another added: "Great scenes with Anna and Valentin today. If only he could’ve trusted her enough."
