The Boss making his country chart debut. Of course Bruce Springsteen is a legend (I know he's controversial these days, but there's no denying the impact he's had). So it's a little surprising that he's never had a hit on the country charts, although his career has been almost entirely rock. But thanks to Zach Bryan , Springsteen just found himself on the country charts for the first time. "Sandpaper," Springsteen's collab on Zach's latest album
The Great American Bar Scene, debuted at #26 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. In fact, all 19 tracks from the record made the chart, along with "I Remember Everything" from his 2023 self-titled album and "Nine Ball" from his Boys of Faith EP. If you're keeping track, that means Zach has 21 of the 50 songs on this week's chart. Just an absolutely insane run - although the highest charting of the songs is "Pink Skies" at #4, so he was locked out of the top 3 spots, two of which are held by Morgan Wallen. Regardless, Springsteen scored not only his first-ever song on the country chart, but also his first song on the all-genre Hot 100 chart since his 2009 single "Working On a Dream." The duo first premiered the song during a surprise appearance from Springsteen during Zach's show at Madison Square Garden back in March before releasing the studio version on July 4 along with the rest of the album. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYUzY1Oe2_0
