Princess Charlene of Monaco embraced a shade of fiery-red on the first day of a new museum exhibition on Thursday in Monaco. The royal joined her husband, Prince Albert II of Monaco, who offered remarks on the opening day of “La flamme Olympique au fil des temps” exhibition.

The exhibit charts the history of the famed Olympic torch and the relay that brings the flame to the host city of the Olympics. Each torch, courtesy of Prince Albert II’s collection, highlights the aesthetic changes torches have undergone and the subtle ways in which they symbolize the host country. Princess Charlene and Prince Albert both have personal ties to the Olympics — Princess Charlene is a former Olympic swimmer, who represented South Africa, and Prince Albert competed in the bobsleigh for Monaco in five winter Olympics.

For the occasion, Princess Charlene fashioned a sleeveless jumpsuit courtesy of Elie Saab . The royal’s look featured a plunging neckline, wide-leg pants and an embellishment at the base of the neckline in a shade of gold.

To complete the look, Princess Charlene fashioned a pair of strappy gold sandal heels and kept her accessories minimal. As far as her jewelry selections were concerned, Princess Charlene opted for a pair of simple stud earrings.

When it came to her glam, the royal’s blond pixie cut hairstyle was styled with a middle part to perfectly frame her face. Her makeup featured smoky eyeshadow that highlighted her eyes and a red lip to go along with the red motif of her sartorial statement for the event.

Princess Charlene previously fashioned another Elie Saab jumpsuit last March. While attending the 2024 Rose Ball to benefit The Princess Grace Foundation on March 23 in Monaco, Princess Charlene wore a ’70s-inspired Elie Saab sequin and tulle jumpsuit, which featured wide pant legs, a banded waist, fitted bodice and long sleeves, evocative of 1970s glamour.

More recently, Princess Charlene has embraced the monochrome dressing trend , popular amongst a number of A-list stars and celebrities in 2024. On June 27, the royal and her husband greeted members of Monaco’s Olympic team . Princess Charlene wore a power suit in a crisp white color, evocative of the same style many European women favor for daytime events.

Over the course of the last several years, Princess Charlene’s style has evolved. But one quality that’s remained is her ability to keep her style versatile, fashioning jumpsuits, gowns, power suits and more with a seamless approach.
