Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders plans second Europe trade mission

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is planning a second trip to Europe in order to promote trade with the Natural State.

Sanders said in a Thursday release that after the success of her 2023 Paris Air Show trade mission trip she is now planning a trip to the Farnborough Air Show in the United Kingdom. The release stated that she will also meet with some of the state’s major German business partners.

Sanders said the 2023 Paris trip led to business jet producer Dassault Falcon and missile defense builder RTX investing “hundreds and millions of dollars” in Arkansas.

The airshow takes place from July 22 to 26. Promotors state it is one of the major aerospace and defense industry trade shows in the world with over 1,200 exhibitors and 75,000 visitors .

“Aerospace is Arkansas’ largest export industry and it’s getting larger every year,” Sanders said. “As we cut taxes, grow our workforce, and invest in education, we’re becoming an even more attractive state for investment.”

The governor added that the Farnborough trip will be crucial to getting the message about the state’s viability to some of the largest aerospace and defense companies in the world.
