Caitlin Clark is one of the most talked-about athletes in American sports as she reaches the midway point of her rookie season in the WNBA.

Feverish dialogue surrounding the league's No. 1 overall pick continued after she set the WNBA's all-time single-game assist record with 19 dimes in a loss to the Dallas Wings on Wednesday night.

ESPN elected to shower Clark with some much-deserved attention after this historic feat. On Thursday morning, the "Worldwide Leader" opened flagship shows Get Up , SportsCenter and First Take with discussion about the Indiana Fever rookie.

This decision has the WNBA world buzzing on social media.

Midway through her rookie campaign, Clark is averaging 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and a league-leading 8.2 assists per game. The first-year sensation has recorded a points-assists double-double in six of her last seven games.
