Caitlin Clark Separates From Angel Reese In Rookie Of The Year Race After Record-Breaking Game Vs. Wings

Caitlin Clark certainly made a statement before the WNBA's extended hiatus, as she dished out a WNBA single-game record 19 assists for the Indiana Fever in their contest against the Dallas Wings.

Even with 24 points to go along with that, it wasn't enough for the Fever to pick up the win, as they suffered a 101-93 loss when the final buzzer sounded.

It was enough for Clark's Rookie of the Year odds to shift. Amid her tightly contested race with Angel Reese, Clark appears to have put some distance between herself and her closest competitor, as her odds now sit at -2000 to walk away with the award this season.

Many folks have spoken out in favor of Reese's candidacy in recent weeks, but these odds indicate that it may not be as close of a race as they think it is.

Both Clark (17.1 PPG, 8.2 APG, 5.8 RPG, 40.5 FG%) and Reese (13.5 PPG, 11.9 RPG, 1.8 APG, 40.2 FG%) have been phenomenal, but only one of them can take home the award.

There's still a lot of basketball left to be played in the WNBA this season, but it looks like Clark may end up running away with the award when all is said and done.
