The Oregon Zoo shared a cute video of their resident Black Bear, who is already having the best time this summer thanks to his personal pool.

On July 16, 2024, the Oregon Zoo's TikTok account shared the happiest summertime video that's bound to make you smile. Take a look!

In a 10-second video, we meet the Black Bear cub at the zoo, and he's having the time of his life.

Just like a human toddler, this young Black Bear is splashing water all over the place while taking a bath. He's sitting in a big giant tub out in the shade while the sunlight beams around him.

He's clearly happy cooling off, but he is also having the best time of his life, throwing water all over the place.

It looks like he's trying to attack all the water bubbles, repeatedly smacking the water with his two huge paws.

Then, in a split second, he has a zoomie moment like a cat, rushes out of the tub, taking even more water with him, and he runs up to the tree and looks like he's going to climb it.

"Tub's out, cub's out," the video's caption reads. And in the comments, people were enjoying the chaos.

One person shared, "He’s like my kids in the bathtub!"

Another wrote, "Party time! Woooo hooo."

Someone else added, "Those cubs are pure chaos every time I see them. 100 feet up a tree or splashing around, they are very cute!"

Another continued, "He had the zoomies over to the tree for a second he was so happy."

Someone else joked, "I pick this bear specifically."

    Do Black Bears Like Water?

While we can look at this video and see very clearly that this Black Bear loves water, is that true for all bears?

According to BBC Wildlife Magazine , Black Bears do like water, and they're really comfortable in it.

"Black Bears are good swimmers, and will readily enter water in search of fish," the site explains. "Black bear cubs take to the water easily and quickly. One of our favourite black bear facts is that one adult is believed to have swum nine miles along the Gulf of Mexico."

But they don't only go into the water to swim. Turn out they do love swimming pools as well.

According to BearWise , "Bears are attracted to water, especially in the summer. Swimming pools, hot tubs and artificial ponds all make good places for a bear to cool off," which would suck if you live in a place where there are a lot of bears.
