Taylor Swift 's publicist, Tree Paine , was seen giving photographers special instructions before an Eras Tour show.
Concert photographer Lilli Newhouse revealed to The Mirror what instructions are dished out before the pop princess takes the stage. She explained that, prior to the show, photographers had access to a media room and were led down to the photo pit area by the stage before the clock began its countdown.
She added: "While we were by the stage, waiting for Taylor to come out, Tree came in during the clock count down and was chatting with us about what songs we got to shoot. She told us that anytime Taylor goes near a desk, that it's a photo opp, so we make sure to pay attention to that."

Lilli, who shot the show in Denver for Ali and Alex Blogs , noted that press photographers only have pit access for the first three songs, Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince, Cruel Summer, and The Man, which is an industry standard. Tree told the photographers that "Taylor loves to make dramatic facial expression during those moments, as well, and the same with the dancers."
In Germany, Tree was seen speaking with the photographers ahead of the show. According to a fan on X, formerly known as Twitter, Tree told them: "Taylor recently has been loving over the shoulder cheeky shots. So when she’s singing and looks over the shoulder at you make sure to get it."
Tree, according to Lilli, had a surprising "fun side" which she didn't expect from the powerhouse, business-forward publicist. "She talked to us about the [friendship] bracelets since a few of us had them on and even let us give her one if we wanted, too, which was so fun for me considering I'm obviously a huge fan."
Plus, Lilli said that Tree had another special, personal touch in store for her. "She remembered me the second night," Lilli explained that she purchased floor seats to enjoy the show all over again as purely a fan this time. "[Tree] actually traded bracelets with me this time since she didn't have any the first night when we met."
Notably, Tree and Taylor have been giving press opportunities to smaller photographers and female-led blogs. While they have yet to confirm if this is intentional, the trend has gone noticed among the music community.
Lilli's Photo Editorial Director, Ali Fitzgerald, told The Mirror: "Seeing Tree’s name pop up on my phone was pretty surreal. I’ve worked with dozens of my favorite musicians and their teams but getting the support and recognition from somebody like Tree was super validating. We’ve work so hard on the blog and expanding it, but leveling up the size of tours and artists you’re covering is tough.
"Having the Eras Tour on our resume of articles matters when competition to cover shows in the East Coast market is so tight and somebody like Tree knows what opportunity means for us. It was also super cool as a Swiftie to call our contributor who is also a Swiftie and tell her she’s covering Taylor Swift for us."
