In February, AEW management suspended Sammy Guevara for not following their concussion protocol during his Rampage match with Jeff Hardy. For those unaware, the now-former AEW wrestler suffered a broken nose when Guevara accidentally landed on his face during a Shooting Star Press. Yet, despite being told to pin his opponent quickly, Guevara hit his GTH finishing move instead. And while it’s been known that the AEW original suspension ended a while ago, he has remained off television. However, according to Fightful Select , his return could be imminent as AEW has been discussing this.

“Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp has learned that Guevara’s return to tv has been discussed over the last few weeks. It should be noted that Guevara has not been suspended over the last couple of months, and has simply not been on television.”

30-year-old Guevara was one of AEW’s first signings and would make his debut at the promotion’s first event, Double or Nothing, losing to Kip Sabian. Subsequently, his career would really take off when he was picked to be part of Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle stable, which was a focal point of AEW in its infancy. This would lead to him holding the AEW TNT Championship on three occasions, establishing him as a prominent part of the company, although where he will be positioned on the card when he is re-introduced remains to be seen.
