Kate Hudson Likens Nick Jonas To “An Old Man In A Young Man’s Body” While Reflecting On Their Rumored Romance On ‘WWHL’

Kate Hudson is finally addressing the old news of her and Nick Jonas ‘ supposed previous relationship.

Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen grilled Hudson on Wednesday night’s (July 17) episode about her old rumored romance with the youngest Jonas Brother — (band-wise — we see you, Franklin) — during the show’s “Plead the Fifth” game, per People .

According to the outlet, Cohen brought up the “countless rumors” about them dating in 2015 and 2016, even teasing that she “skirted around” said speculations “ on this very show .”

“Looking back on it now, how would you characterize that relationship?” he asked.

While laughing, Hudson summed up their relationship as follows: “A moment? A moment.”

“Lovely, fun, kind … he’s like an old man in a young man’s body, and we love him,” she shared.

As noted by People , both Hudson and Jonas are now in their own respective relationships, with Hudson being engaged to Danny Fujikawa and Jonas being married to Priyanka Chopra . Both couples have a child together. However, the two were speculated to have been dating in 2015 and were spied together at Disney World that year, with their last known joint public spotting being at the 2016 Met Gala.

As Cohen mentioned, Hudson dodged the topic while stopping by WWHL in 2015, telling Cohen at the time, “I don’t like addressing any kind of gossip.”

Jonas lauded Hudson as “incredible” while speaking with Complex in 2016, sharing that they “had an unbelievable connection as two humans who just admire things about each other, and see something in each other that’s beautiful.”

“Even now I have so much admiration and respect,” he also told the outlet at the time. “She’s amazing.”

In 2017, Hudson’s mother and fellow actress Goldie Hawn was also asked to weigh in with her “first reaction” on their past relationship on WWHL .

“Let me tell you something. As long as the kids are having fun, I don’t care,” she said, calling Jonas a “very nice guy” and “good person.”

As for whether she ever made dinner for Jonas, Hawn told Cohen, “No, but I would have, if it lasted long enough.”

During last night’s WWHL appearance, Hudson also debunked the rumor that she made her Fool’s Gold co-star Matthew McConaughey wear deodorant on set.

“No! No, he doesn’t wear deodorant,” she noted. “And by the way, I don’t either.”

She later added that she “could smell him from a mile [away] because [they] were so close,” describing them both as “au naturale.”
