Mr. Gatti’s Pizza coming to Walmart locations in Texas

HARLINGEN, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — A pizza chain that started in a small town in Central Texas is now partnering with the nation’s largest retail store.

Mr. Gatti’s Pizza is partnering with Walmart to bring its classic menu items to Walmart stores in the Lone Star State.

Approximately 12 Mr. Gatti’s are set to open in Texas and Oklahoma by the end of the year, with a long-term plan to establish 92 locations with potential expansion to Walmarts in other states.

“This partnership with Walmart enables us to accelerate our expansion into new areas while continuing to strengthen our presence in familiar communities, bolstering our legacy for long-term success, one slice at a time,” Jim Phillips, CEO of Mr. Gatti’s Pizza, stated in a news release.

The new Mr. Gatti’s locations will offer counter service and seating, along with a menu featuring pizzas, wings, salads, sandwiches and more.

Customers can order for dine-in or takeout, with the option to use the Mr. Gatti’s app for convenient pickup.

Delivery services will also be available to surrounding areas.

The partnership is expected to double Mr. Gatti’s national footprint, bringing the total number of stores open or under development to approximately 230 locations.
