ROCKVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– The one-hundred-fourth Parke County 4-H Fair is underway this week.

The 4-H festivities kicked off last Friday with its annual FFA Hog Roast and County Fair Princess and Queen Pageant. Throughout the week 4-H-ers have shown off the projects they have been working on all year long.

Thursday night, was the fair’s Celebrity Showmanship Event where 8 volunteers dressed up as celebrities and showed off all kinds of animals. The money raised from the event is used for workshops for younger members of 4-H.

“We really had a great week.” said Parke County 4-H Extension Educator Christie Jacob. “The weathers been a little bit on the warm side, but we’ve managed. A lot of volunteers and 4-H-ers all in good spirits and we’ve had a great week.”

July 19, is the last day of the fair and will be capped off with a 4-H Livestock Auction, followed by a truck and tractor pull.
