Scottie Scheffler Jokes Flood Social Media After Embarrassing Olympics Photos Emerge

Scottie Scheffler's arrest prior to the second round of the 2024 PGA Championship was one of the biggest stories in golf for what felt like weeks.

Scheffler, who had all charges stemming from the incident dropped in late May, found himself on the unfortunate receiving end of strays from the golf community on Thursday after official headshot photos of golfers competing in the 2024 Olympics made their way to social media.

Fans couldn't help but point out that the headshots resembled Scheffler's viral mugshot from earlier this year.

"The Olympic photos for golf … on the official Olympics website," X user @pamelam35 posted.

As one might expect, many in the golf world found the photos selected for the 2024 Olympic golfers to be less than flattering.

Others took the time to make mugshot or Scheffler-inspired quips.

"To be fair, Scottie is used to this type of photo," Monday Q Info said.

"They all went to lockup with Scottie?" Tom wrote.

The 2024 Masters champion, Scheffler opened the 152nd Open Championship with a first-round score of 70 (1-under par).

He's five strokes off the lead heading into Friday's second round.
