    The Pitt County Council on Aging is offering the following classes and programs. All offerings are free and located at the Pitt County Wellness Center, 4551 County Home Road, unless otherwise noted. Registration is required unless otherwise noted by calling 752-1717, Ext. 201.

    Stretch and balance class, 12:30-1:15 p.m. Mondays. Cost $4 per session paid monthly.Shape Up & Get Fit, 10-10:50 a.m. Mondays. Intense workout that incorporates strength training and cardiovascular exercise. Free weights, resistance bands, and an exercise mat are necessary to participate. Cost $4 per class.Soul line dancing classes. Intermediate level 11 a.m. to noon, Mondays; beginner, 2:15-3:15 p.m. Mondays. Dance to soul and R&B music to burn calories and learn popular line dances. Cost, $4 per class paid monthly.Budgeting workshop with Southern Bank, 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, July 23.Alzheimer’s Support Group, 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 23. Call Amanda Biggs at 414-3230.Zumba Gold, 10:30-11:15 a.m. every Tuesday and Saturday. Registration recommended, not required. Donation requested.Yoga for Every Body, 11:15 a.m. to noon every Tuesday and Saturday. Registration recommended, not required. Donation requested.Senior Fitness, 1-2 Tuesday and Thursday. Fun, interactive strength training and cardio workout set to music. Cost $1 per class payable monthly.Cardio Dance, 11:15-12:15 p.m. Wednesdays. Fun, low-impact aerobic workout. No dance experience needed. Cost $4.Chair fitness class, 10-11 a.m. Wednesdays. Cost is $5 per month, $2 per class for drop-ins.Beginner sign language, Wednesdays, Aug. 3-Sept. 25. Cost $6, includes textbook.Investing After 60 taught by Billy Hemby, a managing director with Level Four Advisory Services, 1-2:30 p.m. Aug. 13.
