The ongoing office romance Chinese drama As Beautiful As You, featuring Xu Kai and Tan Songyun in the lead roles, released episode 28 on July 18, 2024. As seen in the official trailer and previous installments, the drama narrates the love story of Ji Xing (Tan Songyun) and Han Ting (Xu Kai) as they continue to motivate each other. Episode 28 focuses on Xingchen’s ex-employee attempting to slander Ji Xing’s name.

In this episode, Zhizhou informs Ji Xing that Weiwei has decided to resign. Zhizhou takes the whole blame and apologizes to her for creating such a misunderstanding. To his surprise, Ji Xing is supportive of his decision and believes that Zhu got what he deserved. On their way back home, Ji Xing receives an invitation to Yichen and Qiuzi’s wedding. She feels bittersweet, seeing her ex-boyfriend and her best friend move on with their lives so quickly. But she is still as supportive as ever and wants to attend the event. When Han Ting notices her silence, he promises to accompany her to the wedding.

Han Ting and Ji Xing bond as the former shares stories from his childhood. He reveals how he lost his mother when he was a child, and since then, he has never gotten to celebrate his birthday. Meanwhile, Li Li is still hurt by Yi Xiao’s actions and continues to ignore him. But when his daughter asks her to accompany her to a puppet show, she can not refuse her request. On the other hand, Lin Jia finally gathers the courage to ask Xiaomeng out on a date. But to his surprise, she does not feel the same way about him and turns him down.

The next morning, Ji Xing and Li Li arrive at the office and immediately notice a lack of response from the employees. After asking around, they find out that Weiwei texted everyone at the office, slandering Ji Xing’s name and warning that they will also meet the same fate as hers.

When Ji Xing notices that Weiwei has made the matter public, she gets furious and thinks about responding to her. But looking back at their happy memories and how she helped her set up the company, she stops herself. Han Ting calls Ji Xing and advises her not to respond in any way.
