This weekend in the Hudson Valley will be an improvement on last weekend in two ways.

According to the National Weather Service, there will be less rain, and little or no extreme heat and humidity.

Orange County will see no rain at all, if advance forecasts prove true.

The National Weather Service said Orange County will see partly sunny skies on Saturday, with high temperatures ranging from the mid-80s to the high 80s. On Sunday, skies will be mostly sunny with high temperatures at or just below 90 degrees.

In Dutchess, Ulster and Sullivan counties, Saturday will start out partly to mostly sunny.

But the National Weather Service says there is a slight chance — about 20% — of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. on Saturday in all three counties.

But everything should clear up on Sunday. Dutchess and Ulster counties will see hot, sunny weather, with temperatures of about 90 degrees.

Sullivan County, as usual, will see slightly lower temperatures than surrounding counties on both days — a high of 81 degrees on Saturday and 84 degrees on Sunday.

Overnight lows will be in the mid-60s in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties, and the low 60s in Sullivan County.
