The Netflix comedy-thriller web series Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper is currently streaming. While its name suggests an educational show, it is actually a lot different. The web series follows the story of an honest government official, Tribhuvan Mishra. As his account gets frozen due to a scandal at the bank, he chooses an entirely different career path to pay bills and nurture his family.

Manav Kaul plays the titular character in the web series, while Tillotama Shome, Shubhrajyoti Barat, Naina Sareen, Shweta Basu Prasad, Faisal Malik, Sumit Gulati, Jitin Gulati, and others essay supporting characters. Puneet Krishna wrote and co-directed the web series with Amrit Raj Gupta.

Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper is based against the backdrop of Noida, Uttar Pradesh. While every character leads a normal life, they all have dark secrets. When their lives get interlinked, it creates a lot of drama and chaos. The web series’ official synopsis reads, “A banking crisis forces CA topper Tribhuvan Mishra to take up s*x work. Will this dual existence alleviate his troubles — or create entirely new ones?”

The new web series has been receiving mixed reviews from the audience. While there was very little promotion of the web series, viewers seemed confused about its genre. Ahead of its release, its makers also faced a defamation lawsuit from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. However, the Delhi High Court allowed its timely release.

Who is Tribhuvan Mishra, aka CA Topper?

Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper begins with an introduction of Tribhuvan Mishra, CA topper of his time and an honest government employee who believes in hard work. Despite his honesty, he is a loser to his extended family. While he struggles to give his family a life filled with amenities, he tries to keep them happy with his time and love. Moreover, he also keeps his wife happy by taking care of her fair share of pleasure.

On the other hand, Tika Ram Jain (Shubhrajyoti Barat) is shown as an alpha male who does not show many emotions to his wife Bindi (Tillotama Shome). While Jain runs a huge sweets shop in Noida, he is also a contract killer. Bindi, on the contrary, is a film enthusiast in need of love and affection from her husband.

The story starts when Tribhuvan Mishra’s bank account is frozen due to corruption. To make ends meet, he takes a bribe from an evil builder for passing his file and spends all the money. However, he soon retracts the idea of taking the bribe and promises the builder to return his money. When he finds himself helpless, he seeks help from his brother-in-law, only to get insulted by him. As a result, he resorts to a new career trajectory to earn money and becomes a gigolo named CA Topper.

What happens at the end of Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper?

Tribhuvan starts enjoying his secret life due to his massive earnings and good reviews. He helps his wife, Ashoklata, open her own bakery, and the kids continue their schooling. However, one of his clients, Bindi, enters his life and completely changes it. Bindi falls for Tribhuvan and calls him to provide his service multiple times. When her husband, Tika Ram Jain, learns about her affair, he sends one of his men, Lappu, to the hotel and catches her red-handed. However, during an altercation, Tribhuvan kills Lappu and escapes.

When police officer Haider Ali finds Bindi’s ID in the room, he begins to investigate. On the other hand, Tika Ram Jain also tries everything to find CA Topper and kill him. Amid the massive chaos, Bindi helps Tribhuvan stay safe. He even seeks help from Tika Ram’s rival, Ehsaan Bhai, for protection. However, things change when Bindi confesses her love for Tribhuvan; he breaks her heart and reveals he does not have the same feeling. This makes Bindi Tribhuvan’s rival, who now wants him dead.

In the end, Tribhuvan Mishra and his family face the wrath of Tika Ram Jain, Bindi, and Dhaincha. Moreover, the police also joined the massive gunfight. Bindi confronts Tribhuvan and tells his wife the truth about his secret life. The gunfight cools down when Tika Ram is shot, and Bindi takes him away to save his life. On the other hand, Tribhuvan is on his way home with his family when his wife reveals that she has a secret of her own. She then takes her kids and leaves with another man in a car.

Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper ends with the titular character left all alone in the middle of the road. As Dhaincha also falls for his charm, he refuses to obey Bindi’s orders to kill him.
