    Public Records: Fairfield County restaurant inspections

    The following are restaurant inspections with critical violations, as conducted by the Fairfield County Health Department from July 1-12.

    July 1

    JFE Franchising Inc. - Snowfox Sushi, 1141 E, Main St., Lancaster. White rice was improperly acidified. The pH was not logged for the week before the inspection.

    Kroger #N931, 1141 E. Main St., Lancaster. Observed buttermilk with an expiration date of June 26 and oatmilk with an expiration date of June 23.

    July 5

    Hibachi Express, 1520 River Valley Circle S., Lancaster. A small amount of wrapped raw beef was stored above the raw mushrooms in the reach-in refrigerator.

    Sweet Corner, 1100 N Memorial Drive, Lancaster. Employees are not informed in a verifiable manner of their responsibility to report information about their health. Containers of crepe batter were stored in the refrigerator without any date marking. Cleaning chemicals were stored on counters where food is prepared.

    Creno's Pizza, 107 N. Main St., Baltimore. The can opener had build-up. An open bag of precooked meatballs in a sub-prep cooler had no date mark. Shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes in a Pepsi glass front cooler had no date marking. The label was worn off of the sanitizer spray bottle by the freezer area.

    Wood Fired, 1780 Baltimore Road, Lancaster. Items in the refrigerator, such as ricotta cheese had no date mark on the containers.

    Jo Voland Concessions Unit #2, 7210 Lancaster Newark Road, Baltimore. Observed an ice chute with black residues on it.

    July 9

    BFS Investments LLC, Tiberios, 416 N. Columbus St., Lancaster. A pallet of flour was blocking the handwashing sink in the dough room. Observed drain flies throughout the establishment.

    Ameristop Food Mart #29316, 1826 W. Fair Ave., Lancaster. A brown slimy residue was in the ice shoot on the soda machine. The observed thermometer in the deli cooler was at 44 F.

    July 10

    Tiki Pool Concession, 1475 Tiki Lane, Lancaster. No employees were washing their hands during the inspection after witnessing a change in tasks.

    July 11

    Tim Horton's, 2053 Hortns Mill Road, Lancaster. Eggs were sitting out on the counter without any time stamp on them.

    Marathon, 1020 W. Fair Ave., Lancaster. A brown residue was in the ice shoot on the soda machine.

    Endsley Family Farm, 11425 Basil Road NW, Baltimore. There were no safe handling instructions on packaged raw meat.
