Prominent trade analyst Taran Adarsh praised Bad Newz as “FUN-TASTIC,” giving it a high rating. He wrote , “Ample laughs. Enjoyable jokes. Witty one-liners. Engrossing drama. Triptii Dimri did a great job; she overshadowed the main lead completely. Vicky Kaushal & Ammy Virk also played their parts very well, but the film is below average.”
