Missed out on the rain? Lots more still to come

Friday's Weather Headline: A big weather pattern change is coming up quick and we have abnormally wet and "cooler" weather nearing the end of July! Read on for more details.

What we're tracking: The cool front that entered Texas yesterday has stalled north of us in Central Texas as expected. Although the front may not have passed us, rain is still expected as there will be periods of continued lift along the stationary front's edge until the front breaks down as the next system approaches. This next system in question is an upper level low coming from the upper West Coast. This low/trough will ride around the high pressure ridge dominating the West Coast and slingshot into the Central Plains by tomorrow. However, instead of pushing off towards the Northeast Coast, this low will park itself in the Central Plains for multiple days bringing rounds and waves of showers and thunderstorms into the Crossroads and Texas. No severe weather is expected at this moment.

Next 24 hours: Isolated showers will be possible both today and tomorrow with chances both days at 30%. Behind the possible showers and partly cloudy skies, highs will range from the upper 80s to the mid 90s.

Extended forecast: Highs graciously drop to the 80s next week but it's going to be raining for most of us a majority of the time. Rainfall totals could add up to3-5 inches by the end of the week... See below for your rainy 7 day forecast!
