    Kevin Magnussen is set to leave Haas at the end of the 2024 Formula 1 season. According to BBC Sport, Esteban Ocon, who currently races for Alpine, is expected to replace him.Magnussen’s teammate, Nico Hulkenberg, is also set to move to Sauber as it becomes Audi in 2026. The Danish driver joined the US-based team in 2017 and left in 2020 before rejoining in 2022 after Nikita Mazepin’s departure. His best finish for Haas was fifth place, a position he achieved three times, and his highest championship finish was ninth in 2018.Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu said that Magnussen has “been a bedrock of our driver line-up over the years.”Komatsu hopes they can “find a way to keep working together in some capacity” due to his extensive experience in F1. Magnussen said he is “proud to have raced for such a great team of people,” and gave a special mention to Gene Haas for bringing him back in 2022.“While I'm looking forward to the next chapter of my racing career, I remain fully focused on giving everything I've got for the rest of 2024 with MoneyGram Haas F1 Team,” said Magnussen.
