    Deadly Motorcycle Accident in Lebanon: Investigation Ongoing

    Early Morning Tragedy on River Road

    LEBANON, Maine — A fatal motorcycle crash that claimed the life of one individual and injured another early Thursday morning is currently under investigation by authorities. The incident was discovered by a resident on River Road who found two people lying in an open field.

    Discovery and Immediate Response

    At approximately 5:30 a.m., a local resident came upon the crash site and immediately notified authorities. Deputies from the York County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene shortly thereafter and identified the apparent driver of the Harley Davidson motorcycle as 32-year-old Joseph Vachon of Rochester, New Hampshire. Vachon was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Injured Passenger

    Rhiannon Cooper-Boisvert, a 26-year-old from Milton, New Hampshire, was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle. She was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for treatment. The extent of her injuries remains unknown at this time.

    Investigation Underway

    The York County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation into the crash, with assistance from Windham police and the Maine State Police. Authorities are working to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic accident.
