Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark is perhaps the most popular woman in sports today. People can argue about that, but it’s tough to imagine Clark going unnoticed during any given event, especially if it involves the WNBA.

However, Clark seemingly thought she could escape from the sight of a throng of photographers during Thursday’s Orange Carpet event in Phoenix.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Aliyah Funschelle, Clark can be seen walking down the carpet without posing. But just when it looked like she was on the verge of slipping past the glare of the cameras, someone stopped her and asked the 2024 WNBA Draft’s top pick to let the cameramen get a better look at her and her outfit.

Fans online have found it hilarious that Clark appeared to think that she could just sneak her way out of such situations, especially since she’s a major – if not the singular biggest – reason the WNBA All-Star weekend is getting unprecedented attention.

“Caitlin should know she is not getting away from the cameras. Too funny....”

“this is so cute her face when she realized she didn’t get away with it”

“Why am I just now realizing Caitlin lowkey has a baby face?

    “What a lovely young woman!!!”

“the way she tried to fly by them like she ain’t CC 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. she look cute tho.”

    “HELPPP caitlin is so funny😭😭”

“That is so her. Lovely. Enjoy your time off.”

Clark will be in the limelight all the time down in Phoenix for the All-Star weekend, and she’ll command great attention again on Saturday when she and the WNBA All-Stars take on the Paris-bound US Women's National Team.
