Sweet Home Season 3 Episode 1: Was Song Kang Able To Save Lee Si-Young?

The highly awaited Sweet Home season 3 premiered on Netflix on Friday, July 19, 2024. The second season of the series saw Hyun-Su (Song Kang) deciding to end the pain of Seo Yi-Kyung (Lee Si-Young) after finding out about her terrifying internal battle. Her monster form was lying under the knocked-down road at the end. Thus, fans have been curious to learn what happened to her.

Episode 1 of the third and final season of Sweet Home gave fans a series of stirring events. It showed Hyun-Su finally waking up and rushing to save Seo Yi-Kyung (Lee Si-Young). He believed that he was the only one who could do it, as he knew her darkest desires and deepest pains, which involved her daughter and son.

Sweet Home season 3 episode 1 showed Lee Eun-Yu (Go Min-Si) trying to wake the real Hyun-Su (Song Kang) as he was in his monster form. Despite failing many times, she kept on trying, and finally, she could bring out the human version of Hyun-Su from within. As soon as he woke up, he remembered everything he had to do to give Seo Yi-Kyung (Lee Si-Young) rest from all the internal turmoil and pain.

Soon, Hyun-Su decided to visit the place where he fought with Yi-Kyung in season 2. He believed that only he could save Yi-Kyung and bring back her human version as he saw all her desires and pains with his own eyes. Thus, he rushed to get to the place. Although he asked Lee Eun-Yu not to follow him, she and Private Park Chan-Yeong (Jung Jin-Young) and Ha-Ni (Chae Won-Bin) arrived there.

Did Song Kang bring back the human version of Lee Si-Young?

In episode 1 of Sweet Home season 3, after arriving at the fighting spot, Hyun-Su went straight to the half-monstrous body of Seo Yi-Kyung. He then looked into her eyes and entered into her visions. He saw her struggling hard with her dark desires and internal pains. On one hand, she had her son and on the other, she had her daughter.

Hyun-Su told her that it was all made up and inside her head. He finally made her understand that none of it was real. He then pulled her human version out of her desires and back to the real world. Thus, Hyun-Su was able to save her.
