    KDOT warns drivers about U.S. 400 project in Cherokee County

    CHEROKEE COUNTY, Kan. (KOAM) -- The Kansas Department of Transportation is warning drivers about a project beginning July 22, 2024 on U.S. 400.

    KDOT says the project will add passing lanes to both sides of U.S. 400 in Cherokee County. The work will start four miles east of K-7 at Cherokee and continues east for 1.6 miles.

    The project will include lane shifts for drivers and a pilot car will be in operation during later parts of the project.
