Han Ting, Ji Xing, and their friends attend Qiuzi and Yichen’s wedding. Han Ting watches over Ji Xing as tears of joy roll down her eyes as she looks at her ex-boyfriend marrying her best friend. After the couple exchanges vows, the women rush over to catch the wedding bouquet. But Ji Xing stays seated. Han Ting senses her awkwardness and takes her out of the hall.

After Li Li catches the bouquet, she happily shows it off to Yi Xiao. But her smile disappears when he reveals that he doesn’t want to marry again. But he promises to stay by her side all her life. Li Li finds his response humiliating and she leaves the venue at once.

Han Ting and Ji Xing take a stroll on the beach. She assures Han Ting that she is not hung up on Yichen anymore as she has found someone who is right for her. Han Ting reveals his desire to spend the rest of his life with her. Ji Xing suspects that he is going to propose to her. So, right before he tries to get on his knees, she reveals that she doesn’t want him to propose to her on the same day as Yichen and Qiuzi’s marriage.

Further into the episode, Han Ting is informed about Han Ting replacing Xingchen at the pioneer project. Han Ting realizes that his relationship with Ji Xing will come in the way of business as everyone is scared of offending his partner. As a solution, he proposes to merge the two subsidiaries.

Chang He visits Ji Xing with a proposal for series A financing. Ji Xing politely turns down the offer, saying that Han Ting is the one who makes all the decisions in the company. Chang He assures her saying that he will not invest in Xingchen to keep Dongyang Medical out of the picture. He advises her to keep her relationship and business separate.
