UPDATE: The Dorchester Road Library opened after a lengthy power outage on Friday morning.

Library officials said Summer Feeding meals will not be served.

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A power outage is impacting roughly 750 Dominion Energy customers off Dorchester Road on Friday morning.

Among those affected is the Dorchester Road Library.

Officials with the Charleston County Public Library said the library will operate on a delayed opening; however, a time was not given. They expected to provide updates when available.

Dominion Energy’s outage map shows an estimated restoration time of 11:30 a.m. and noted the cause was “under evaluation.”

Summer Feeding meals will not be served at the Dorchester Road Library because of Friday’s outage.
