According to the study, the best ice cream in Ireland can be found at Mammy Johnston’s in Co Sligo . This spot is located right by the scenic coast so it makes for an ideal stop for a sunny day out at the spot along the Wild Atlantic Way .

The shop has been serving ice cream to locals and visitors alike for over 100 years. It is well-known to people not just in Sligo but all over the country.

Betway gathered reviews from the likes of Tripadvisor and Google to come up with this list. They also looked at the number of Instagram hashtags each parlor has.

Mammy Johnston's has received a slew of excellent reviews on sites like Tripadvisor. One visitor said of the shop: "Had two scoops of mint choc chip ice cream in a cup at this restaurant. It was so nice and creamy, one of the nicest ice creams I've ever had. It was lovely to sit watching the waves in Stranhill while eating the ice cream!"
