When you hire a professional to do something like laying tile or creating hardscaping in your yard, you expect professional quality work. That means prepping, executing your established vision, and cleaning up afterwards. Now, while it may be tempting to save a few bucks and DIY a big project doing something that you've never really tried before, you can end up missing out on that middle part, which may mean making a budget friendly renovation with a few flaws.

If your project involves mitering corners, you may find  yourself cutting corners to try and get your bricks, pavers, or tile to lay the way it needs to.

If you've ever had tried to miter a corner you may know how hard it can be. Between having the right tools, to knowing how you're supposed to make your measurements work to get that perfect fit, it can feel downright impossible.

Fortunately, @resinboundpavingscarb has found a really user friendly way to do these corners in his line of work, and he was generous enough to show off his trick with his TikTok followers.

Now that we know a way to do this that doesn't involve measuring, we may finally be able to stop doing our whole, "cut, caulk, and pray" routine to make those specialty cuts work!

Adding hardscaping to your yard can expand your living space, giving you an area to enjoy yourself outside your home.

How To Build a Paver Patio

Pavers are the names for the landscape bricks that are used to create everything from retaining walls to walking paths. One of the more common ways to use these stones is to create expansive patios, that allow homeowners to take advantage of some of their yard for setting up an outdoor dining area or even seating.

This method is often a lot more DIY friendly than pouring concrete, since many homeowners can accomplish the job with tools you can buy or rent from the hardware store and a little muscle.

If you're considering adding a paver patio to your backyard, you'll want to check out this how-to guide that helps explain the process, including the tools you'll need and the steps you have to take if you want a patio that will last!

Miter Trick Can Be Used Anywhere

We know the OP showed everyone how to make the perfect cut using pavers, but you can actually use this for anything that you need to cut to fit a corner. That means your next trim, framing, or even tile project is going to look so much more professional and neat thanks to the OP's advice.

Hopefully this inspires more people to tackle more DIYs around the home.
