DENVER ( KDVR ) — The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles was one of many services from around Colorado that were affected by the global technology outage.

On Friday morning, the DMV said due to the “CrowdStrike incident,” the outage is affecting most of its services, including online services and MV express kiosks, in addition to in-person services.

The DMV said Friday morning there was no timeline for when services will be restored, but people can follow its social media pages for updates. The agency announced the service restoration at about 4:45 p.m. Friday.

According to the Associated Press, this is an ongoing problem as major companies are dealing with a Microsoft and CrowdStrike outage. This is affecting banks, media and transportation, including at Denver International Airport and the Regional Transportation District .

RTD experiencing significant delays caused by global tech outage

Earlier Friday morning, DIA issued a ground stop because of the outage, meanwhile, RTD experienced significant delays that caused “communications failure” on many RTD lines.

The ground stop has been lifted for DIA, however, there are still delays at the airport and on RTD lines.
