If you don't have the time nor $$$ to book a facial , there's nothing like applying a face mask to turn your home into a personal spa. Now, there are a bunch on the market, but one PureWow staffer is testing a viral pick to see if it's actually worth the splurge.

On this episode of Take My Money , host Kate Kesselman tries the BIOEFFECT Imprinting Hydrogel Mask ($89) to see if the TikTok claims are true. The face mask is blowing up on the platform for nourishing the skin and offering glowy results (without looking greasy). Check out the video of her honest review below.

In the video, Kate preps by applying a serum, per the package's instructions, and opening up the packet. She shares, "The thing about me—I'm very harsh when rating face masks, because I don't really like face masks. I don't like how gooey they are, and I feel like they never work. I feel like they just go on your face and you're like, 'What the heck is the point of them?' So I'm going to be a harsh rater on this mask."

The mask comes in two sections—one for the top half of your face, one for under your nose and around your mouth. Kate shares a close-up of the top section before applying it on her face. The mask contains hyaluronic acid and glycerin, which promises a cooling effect upon application. Per the video, it's also easy to remove the transparent film (aka the white outer layer) for a comfortable fit. She notes before putting on the bottom section, "I like that it comes in two parts. When it comes in one part, it's just too intense."

While she leaves it on for 15 to 20 minutes, do you think the face mask got the job done? Check out Kate's before and after results in the video above to find out if it's made her a convert.
