Almost all flights were canceled at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport until 2 p.m. after a widespread Microsoft outage disrupted airports across the world.

Allegiant Air, the main commercial airline that flies through St. Pete-Clearwater, announced all its flights scheduled to depart from the airport before 2 p.m. would be canceled due to the outage until 2 p.m, according to a Pinellas County spokesperson. As of 10:50 a.m., only one morning flight — a Sun Country flight bound for Gulfport, Mississippi at 11:10 a.m.— remained scheduled at St. Pete-Clearwater. All other flights scheduled to depart from the airport today are operated by Allegiant.

At least 11 Allegiant flights were canceled. Fifteen Allegiant flights later in the afternoon remained scheduled as of 10:50 a.m.

At Tampa International Airport, delays and cancellations have continued to rise since this morning. As of 11:10 a.m., there were 32 cancellations and 176 delays today out of 507 flights total.

Flight operations had fully resumed at Tampa International as of 10:30 a.m., according to a statement from the airport. Delta Air Lines and United Airlines were in ground stops earlier this morning. Tampa International’s systems and operations weren’t affected by the outage.

An Allegiant spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment prior to publication.

“A third party software system outage is impacting computer systems around the world, including Allegiant’s,” a statement from the airline posted on social media read. “Customers may experience delays when booking, checking in or accessing boarding passes. We are working diligently with our provider to resolve the issue and apologize for the inconvenience this may cause our passengers.”

The Allegiant website was down as of 10:30 a.m.
