“This investment will revitalize our neighbors and empower Community Partners of South Florida to ensure that more individuals and families can access the resources they need to thrive,” said Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick. “This project is about transforming lives and creating new opportunities for economic growth, improving community health and fostering a strong sense of neighborhood and pride.”

The multi-unit condos will feature 4-6 units depending on zoning and the first floor will serve as retail space and small business incubators, offering in-home entrepreneurs a chance to operate out of a professional setting.

“With this $1 million, we will be able to complete the buildout of affordable housing units, right here in the heart of West Palm Beach, to support our growing workforce and families by providing a dignified housing option, in a community of choice,” said Kelly Powell, CEO of Community Partners of South Florida.

Focused on mental health, housing and community services, the non-profit organization has been serving Palm Beach County residents since 1986 and in that time, has helped over 100,000 individuals navigate the intersection of their health and housing needs through their 27 programs. As well as mental health services and affordable housing, Community Partners of South Florida also offers financial counseling services, youth mentoring and mortgage lending services.

“To be able to purchase a home is the American Dream,” said Powell. “We want to bring that back.”
